Bournemouth will make a late call on midfielder Dan Gosling ahead of the Premier League match against Middlesbrough as he recovers from a knee problem.

On-loan Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is out for the season after suffering a fractured leg during last week’s defeat at Tottenham, so Lewis Cook could be drafted into the side after coming off the bench at White Hart Lane.

Midfielder Andrew Surman continues his recovery from a knee problem, while forward Callum Wilson, goalkeeper Adam Federici and defender Rhoys Wiggins all continue their recoveries from their own knee injuries.

Provisional Squad: Boruc, A Smith, S Cook, Daniels, Francis, Pugh, L Cook, Arter, Stanislas, King, Afobe, Allsop, Gradel, Mings, Cargill, Fraser, Mousset, Gosling.
Bournemouth take on Middlesbrough on Saturday April 22.

The clash will kick-off at 3pm.

It is not being screened live on television, but you can follow all the action on SunSport.

Bournemouth enter Saturday’s game against Middlesbrough seven points clear of the relegation zone. Boro are 19th in the table and will need a miracle to survive. They’re six points back of Hull and safety.

Bournemouth learned earlier in the week that Jack Wilshere will be out for the rest of the season. The injury will force manager Eddie Howe to adjust his lineup without Wilshere, who has played in 27 games this season. The Cherries ran into a red-hot Tottenham team. Mousa Dembele opened the scoring and a second goal was scored by Heung-min Son minutes later. Son has five goals after scoring in his past four games. Harry Kane and Vincent Janssen added goals as Spurs won 4-0.

Middlesbrough faced Arsenal in their last game. Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring with a beautiful free-kick just outside of the box. Alvaro Negredo tied the game five minutes into the second half. Negredo is Middlesbrough’s leading scorer this season with eight goals. Mesut Ozil’s goal in the 71st minute proved to be the winner.
