Chelsea vs Tottenham Live Streaming
Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur, Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur Live, Chelsea Live, The Blues come into this game having lost to Manchester United last weekend. That sees their comfortable gap at the top of the Premier League table dramatically reduced and has given Tottenham a lifeline in the battle for the league title. However, that race has come to a halt, as they now face Spurs in the FA Cup as both London giants are vying for a coveted spot in the finals against either Arsenal or Manchester City.
In short, it’s first against second for a spot in this season’s FA Cup final. Both Chelsea and Tottenham currently are ranked in the top three in terms of the strongest defense, with Spurs conceding just 22 goals whilst Chelsea have given up 27. They also rank only behind Liverpool (69) in terms of goals scored in the league, so this truly looks set to be an interesting one indeed.
However, Antonio Conte is dealing with a bit of a selection headache. Gary Cahill was recently in hospital due to gastroenteritis and is highly unlikely to feature. Thibaut Courtois is in doubt after twisting his ankle, whilst Marcos Alonso is also still recovering from some kind of illness. Reportedly, Diego Costa and Victor Moses are also struggling to get well after dealing with some kind of flu, and there are some reports that Costa, who has been dealing with a goal-drought may not feature for this fixture.
Meanwhile, as Chelsea continue to sputter, Tottenham continue to soar. Interestingly, Wembley has not brought Spurs the best of luck, as they have won just one out of their last eight games there across all comps. Still, Mauricio Pochettino’s men are on a ten game unbeaten streak, winning eight, and are just four points away from catching the Blues at the top of the Premier League table.
Spurs come into this game having cruised to a very comfortable 4-0 win over Bournemouth; that came a week after another resounding 4-0 win over Watford. In their last five Premier League games, they have conceded just twice (during a 2-1 win over Southampton and a 3-1 victory over Swansea City) whilst scoring 15.
Tottenham haven’t won a trophy since 2008 and are seeking to feature in their first FA Cup final since 1991. The club also are still reeling after the tragic sudden passing of u-23 coach Ugo Ehiogu earlier this week and will be wearing black armbands in his memory. In terms of personnel, Erik Lamela, Danny Rose, and Harry Winks are all still on the treatment table, and Pochettino, having ended Chelesa’s winning streak earlier this year, will be keen on ending their FA Cup run as the two lock horns on Saturday evening.
Mauricio Pochettino has the luxury of being able to choose the same side that decimated Bournemouth at White Hart Lane last week, with no new injury concerns cropping up.
Harry Kane was back amongst the goals in the 4-0 victory and is sure to start against Chelsea, having seemingly completely returned to full fitness following his ligament injury against Millwall in this competition.
Man United set aside €70m for Marquinhos
Michel Vorm is a doubt for the game with a knee injury, however, meaning that Pau Lopez may well take his place on the bench as back-up to Hugo Lloris.
Harry Winks, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela are all long-term injury absentees, though Rose may return for the north London derby against Arsenal at the end of April.
